One line a day

I’m making a huge effort to develop a routine in my life again… I was tenacious and organized once (years ago, I must add), why is it so hard these days? Where did my will power go?

In order to reach that goal I started the “one line a day” project over a month ago and… So far so good!! I don’t use it strictly as a memory book and most of the times the quotes/lines are not even mine, but I have to think of an appropriate note based on how the day went and that is helping. Will I complete the 5 year mark? Too soon to say!!

Hello! Blogging

Hi there!! Long time no see!! It’s been a while… (That might be the understatement of the century).  These last few months I have been thinking about my lack of perseverance writing a blog. I have found many reasons. These next three are the most important ones.

Reason 1: I aimed too high.

I am fairly good at writing short stories on a daily basis, but long stories (what I pretended this to be at first) only come once in a while. From now on I’ll try a new strategy: Shorter, but routinely.

Reason 2: My English skills are getting rusty

Lack of spoken and written practice is killing my language skills (and you should listen to my French these days!!)

Reason 3: I stopped believing

Suddenly I found myself thinking (again!) I have nothing to say to the world. But then I read other blogs and I realize everyday tiny adventures can be pretty interesting.

Well, here I go again and, what’s more shocking, I will be starting a blog class in September. 

I’ll go with the flow.

I spy... Pictures!!

I have always loved taking pictures, but amazing as it may seem, after soooo many years I still don't know how to use a camera... I was seriously thinking about that yesterday and I decided to do something about it today. So I have "enrolled" an online tutorial called "Veo, veo... ¡Fotos!" (I spy... Pictures!) by Hello! Creatividad. It have been following Begoña's work (the teacher) on InstaGram for a while and I'm pretty sure anything she teaches will be great. You can read more about her in her blog: Tea on the Moon.
I'll let you know if I end up learning something...
