Wouldn't it be nice...?
Wouldn't it be nice if I could be somewhere else right now?
Wouldn't it be nice if things at work would settle down?
Wouldn't it be nice if I could lead a regular existence?
Wouldn't it be nice if I could feel the love?
Of course it would, but life's mean, not nice. So I'll have to learn to live with what I've got right now!!

Trying to figure out why things turn out the way they do
Some of us have been brought up to behave correctly and were taught to do the right thing. But doing the right thing doesn't imply making the right choices for your own life. Life brings you shitty results even when you have been fighting your whole life to do what's "correct".
Not long ago somebody sent me an e-mail containing a Dennis Wholey quote: "Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian". I was amazed to find so much truth in a single sentence!! (and I'm talking from my own experience here...)
Fortunately, life goes on and we can only hope things will change in the future and luck will some day be on our side...

First time this year...
I can't believe it's been two months!! I tend to do that (to leave things unattended for too long).
Not much has happened since the year began. For me, it has basically been work, work and then more work!! I had to sign a new contract to stay working where I was last year, due to a "mandatory" segregation from the Bank. The pay is not brilliant, taxes are rising, prices are going up the roof and we have more work than ever in my area, not because the overall work load has increased, but because there are less people left to do it. Sad... But true.
